When I received this package my first thought was that the huge envelope it came in was empty - thank god I checked it carefully and a small one found a bag of pins at the bottom of the padded envelope before throwing it away! Having checked the head pins for cleanliness I can vouch for their claim that they are made from 925 sterling silver which makes them suitable for gold plating if required and also make an honest claim of being hypoallergenic with no nickel or lead alloys . The pins are exactly 2 inches and, as the product name suggests, 24 gauge - which is pretty thin for most,
