Problem solved! in hard disk housings

The perfect solution to my problem. I recently switched from a troubled Windows desktop PC to a new Mac laptop. for sale but the system wasn't working properly and I didn't get a chance to erase HD first: Western Digital 1TB SATA box. (At the time, I was also planning on getting rid of the drive, but didn't want to give up my data.) And as a result, I was stuck with a drive I couldn't access. Can I do something about it? ? I contacted a tech savvy friend. And enter BlackX from Thermaltake. The hard drive is simply connected to the device. (The HD's own weight provided the connection.) I connected BlacX to my MacBook Pro (then running El Capitan 10.11.5, now Sierra 10.12.5) using the USB cable that came with it. I plugged in the power cord and turned on the BlacX. The drive then appeared on the Mac desktop and I was able to use the native Mac utilities to erase the drive. And now I have a full terabyte of extra hard drive space. I use it for Mac backups. Something out of nowhere. How often does that happen? Maybe I won't get rid of the record anyway.
