I should have listened to the negative feedback. The first (model C) failed within 4 months. I bought another (model D) and it failed after a few days. In either case, it stops responding, disconnects from the network, and shuts down. This involves a backup of maybe 1 in 10 attempts. They corrupted disks, didn't format them, did raw. data loss. I tried to fill out an RMA online at Thermaltake but got no response. Interestingly, I've had a few USB 2.0 models that have worked great for 5-10 years

I have 2 of this model and 2 of the older version (Thermaltake BlacX Duet 5G ST0022U). 3 are connected to my iMac at the same time. The other is on a Windows 10 NUC. The older version had some difficulties when using different size and/or brand hard drives on the same dock. So far I haven't had this problem with this new version.
