Review on πŸ“ Thermaltake BlacX Duet USB 3.0 Hard Drive Docking Station ST0014U-D for 2.5”/3.5” SATA I/II/III External Enclosure by Rob Parsons

Unreliable. caused file corruption.

(For dual USB version). Died about six weeks later, just outside of Revain's 30-day return policy. The "manufacturer guarantee by Revain" was that Revain would provide me with Thermaltake's contact details and offer to mediate if anything went wrong. So I contacted Thermaltake and they sent a replacement (note: cross-shipping requires you to pay first and then get a refund; there is no grace period). The replacement dock worked for about five weeks and then failed as well. With both docks, the initial failure appeared to be a random shutdown, with the operating system reporting that the attached drives were not ejecting properly. Within a week or two, the frequency of these shutdowns increases to the point where the operating system can't even finish searching for attached drives before the dock shuts down again. If the dock was detached during a file write, the file was corrupt. I ended up buying a Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 3 adapter from Apple to use my old Thunderbolt HighPoint Dual-Bay Thunderbolt 10Gbps Storage Dock (RocketStor 5212) on my new iMac. The Thunderbolt Dock has been running reliably on my old Mac mini and my new iMac for two years. This Thermaltake USB dock does not.
