I bought it for an event in light pink. This is a very stylish and beautiful dress. I bought a larger size (I think 12) for my daughter (7 years old). It was a little loose on her. But it suits me. My daughter is tall, chubby and doesn't like tight clothes. I am happy with the purchase. For me it is not transparent. I've only worn them twice so far. Machine washed once and hand washed twice.
