Convenient flush design but doesn't support USB-C power delivery + USB-C monitor

It's nice that this sits flush with the side of the laptop, unlike the dangling adapters from the competition. To my great surprise, however, you cannot connect an external USB-C monitor and a USB-C power adapter to your laptop at the same time. I've tried it and either the monitor or the power supply doesn't show up depending on which ports you're using. It's possible to do HDMI+Power, but considering it has two USB-C ports I would think a different scenario would be supported.
