I like the 15 foot length. I love how much lighter it is than what it replaces. I like the flexibility of the cable. I was concerned that when connecting to the welder the wire hole wasn't as close to the rollers as in the previous case, but so far this hasn't been an issue. However, it's worth noting that I've only welded .035 stainless steel wire in the months since purchase and it's tougher than other materials I might later use. It can get slightly warm during continuous welding over a long period of time. It may be necessary to hold it farther from the stab than I like sometimes when using two hands when precise accuracy is required. But when it's gripped in such a way that it's gripped with one hand on the trigger, heat is never an issue. And the heat hasn't caused any problems for the device itself so far. If plastic cables are so flexible, it's because they contain plasticizers. Without plasticizers, plastic is hard and inflexible. Flexible food containers contain them. They are everywhere in our modern life. Some studies have shown that emollients interfere with male sperm production. Other studies have shown that this is not the case. Nobody's sure, but you still wear gloves when arc welding, so there's no harm in leaving them on when you're working with flex cords like this when you're not welding. Just a thought.
