It was a good alternative when my hearing aid broke
I got this when my expensive hearing aid broke, and it was going to take a long time to fix it. This Mini RIC Hearing Enhancing aid is not a hearing aid as it is not tuned to specific frequencies that are difficult for you to discern. This product is an amplifier- it makes all sounds louder for you and since the receiver is placed right in the ear canal, this means everything is louder for you. (No more "Speak up! You’re mumbling!”) For me, it was a great assist while waiting for my regular hearing aid to be repaired, and now I carry it as a backup. It works best in a quiet environment but has levels you can adjust for other situations. I also like that no one noticed I was wearing it, it is placed behind the ear and the tube going to the ear canal is clear.
