My Kingston microSD card rotted after 11 months of use on a poorly designed Moto X Pure that was suffering from overheating. I picked up the SanDisk Extreme hoping to keep all my data safe, despite my phone's tendency to get hot under heavy use. After 8 months and two phones I can report that this is the most reliable card you can get for the price. Not a single bit of data was corrupted or lost after six plane trips, 12 security X-rays, and hours of video, Pokémon, and movie viewing. When you transfer Android phones, first transfer everything from your old phone to your new phone using one of the many apps available from the phone manufacturers. Use a data management application like File Commander to delete all folders on the SD card except /DCIM/Camera/. Then turn off both devices and transfer the map from the old phone to the new one. This will only transfer your photos and videos to your new phone and avoid conflicts with old app data.
