Review on Whisper Organics Organic Flannel Certified by Piyush Ventura

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good quality for the price.

I washed in cold water, dried normally and laid on the bed. While warmer than regular cotton sheets, they are not stuffy or hot. I couldn't get any of the other duvets off my bed because I swapped them out for these, but I don't need to sleep in socks anymore if that makes sense. I work in a fabric shop, so I see every weight and quality of flannel there. I can safely say that these sheets are thinner than regular flannel clothing (think midweight pajama bottoms versus heavy flannel pajama bottoms) and not as soft as regular flannel clothing fabrics. I have pajama bottoms that I made from the same weight flannel many years ago and they are softer than these sheets, although they have lost their softness over the years. I am currently sewing flannel petticoats for winter skirts and the flannel is much softer and thicker than these sheets but I think it really depends on how thick you want your sheets to be. And to be organic (a flannel petticoat certainly isn't), it's a good deal for some basic light-to-midweight flannel sheets. I'm picky when it comes to softness comparisons for the reasons above, but someone who doesn't feel the varying softness of flannel 8 hours a day would probably think it's just fine or even very good. If these sheets came in more color options I would order a second set. But with extremely limited options (I chose eggplant as it was the only non-neutral color option), I'll probably look elsewhere for a second set of sheets for the colder months. My bedspread is turquoise, so it's not easy to find the right colors in organic bedspreads.
