I'll try to straighten it but it's so bent I can't get the grille out. And not just in one place, it's bent near the door where there's a bowl of food. I don't know if it left the factory that way or if the delivery expected it to be better packed with some sort of foam (it wasn't very well packed - just a cage in a box). Very disappointed. Expected a lot more with all the positive reviews. At this point I really regret the purchase. I've been looking for a suitable cage for several days. I'm considering sending it back and buying one that isn't totally broken but it's huge and difficult to repackage. I'll try to straighten it first. The base is quite dented. Update: After a lot of hammering and straightening with pliers, I was finally able to get the grate out, but I still can't straighten one of the dining doors so that it latches securely. Too bad I have to send it back.
