Updated Review: eFire stated that the original coil I received was not their product. They offered to replace the item. This review is for the second spool, which was a different color and had a different label on the spool itself. Neither coil has been specifically identified as a Voxelab or eFire. I've had mixed results with this new coil. Only 2 of my first 8 attempts were successful and both had some minor "stringy" elements. Experimenting with small changes in temperature, speed, and thickness, I came to two conclusions. First, there is the problem of holding on to the bed. Most noticeable where there is a thin line or wall at the base of the print object. Using "Edge" helps but doesn't fix the problem. Second, there is the problem of self-liability; Two prints (each successfully printed with a different PLA) failed by about 2/3 of a print when the job attempted to print a horizontal surface over open space (such as the roof of a Benchy tugboat). After 2 runs out of 8, I ran 3 more tests to make sure my guess as to when the product was supposed to work was correct. All three works had a "solid" base, no thin lines, no sharp curves, no points. All three jobs were relatively straight or tapered vertically; One job had a stair step pattern that included short horizontal areas with no support. I thought all three were successful. Again, a little "viscosity" on each; but nothing that interferes with the use of items; and there is no consensus as to when and where it happened. Excellent color; my fourth purple roll and the color I like best. When it worked, it produced a smooth, crisp finish (aside from the occasional "loose threads"). my conclusion. Can be used under strict restrictions. But that's not what I would recommend. Do not buy this product. Nothing but slime, lumps and bites +. I have a relatively new ASX1 printer. I went through a full spool of Hatchbox PLA and found an adhesion issue that went away after cleaning the bed. I tried this product because of the price. and color. The color is ok, a bit muted I think but it's hard to tell as I never saw the final print. Adhesion issues - never been able to print a single article. Frequent "spots" or clumps of threads, burning (cobwebs). Tried changing the temperature. Tries to change the speed. Check the height of the bed several times. Nothing worked. I could not get a print beyond 2-4 layers before the print failed. I replaced this PLA with another one from Hatchbox. It took several cleanings of the bed and a thorough cleaning of the jets. I even made 2 failed prints - mistakes when the purple VoxeLab filament mysteriously appeared on my dark blue print. Since then I have had 4 successful prints using the Hatchbox product. Every attempt to print with Voxelab went in vain. Now that I know the problem, the rest of the voxelab roll goes to the trash as well.
