Easy installation. I opened the bottom of the Korg Trinity and pulled out the drive. GOTEK fits perfectly in the slot, easily connects to power and ribbon cables, and works out of the box with a 2GB+ USB dongle. You can format the drive by pressing both keys while Korg is booting or by using the Windows software. It's much better than floppies, but there are a few small disadvantages you should be aware of: 1) Windows software only formats 100 disk partitions, not 10002) Doesn't work well on Linux, Linux can only mount disk 000, other disk partitions are invisible , as they are encoded in a proprietary format that only the GOTEK software for Windows can read. 3) Changing discs when using Korg is not always easy. Sometimes I change the disk numbers, click the screen again and the light shows it's reading, but it just sits with the previous disk's file list. I have to iterate over the drive number and try again and again until it finally picks up and mounts the drive I want. This may take 1 to 6 attempts. This is the most annoying bug in the device. Despite some problems, this tool is infinitely superior to floppy disks and I am very grateful that it was made and sold. I'm thinking about writing a linux software to mount all 100 disks in linux if I can get the format specification.
