I ordered this fan to install in my bedroom. After receiving the product, I opened the box to check the fan. Instructions and guides were very sketchy. The instructions were on 8 1/2 x 11 paper that looked like it was printed on a home printer and there were many typos in the instruction manual. Nowhere in the installation guide or owner's manual was the ceiling fan's model number or manufacturer's name listed, and nowhere in those documents was I able to find warranty information. The only information was a Hotmail email address in case you have any questions or concerns. The fan arrived in a Revain box and inside the Revain box was a plain brown box that said 'ceiling fan made in China'. There was no model number, serial number, picture of the fan on the box or in any information. Upon inspection of the fan parts, it was found that the fan blades were covered in fake silver spray paint and most parts, including the light fixture, were plastic. Between the box, the manual, and the fan's components, I had no confidence that this was a quality unit. I requested a refund and a refund of my money that night. The only reason I'm giving it three stars is because I haven't installed it, so I can't test the fan's installation or operation. I only go by the first impression.
