These shelves are even more beautiful in real life! We remodeled our bathroom and these shelves are the perfect accent and very functional. We could roll big towels and put them on the top shelf. I don't know why some had construction problems. --Maybe they changed the design after these reviews? The placement of the tubes is quite intuitive, especially when you look at the image of the product. The biggest suggestion I can give is about installation. Make sure the flanges (the round flat parts that connect to the wall) are tightened before you mark the holes on the wall. These little suction cups can rotate and you will lose alignment while drilling. A good hand tightening will keep them in place. Assembly took 10 minutes and installation 20 minutes with leveling and pre-drilling/attaching wall anchors. Note: I had to rip the second shelf apart about 1 1/4" to accommodate the skin depth. Used a table saw and the cut was clean with no rough edges. I just had to sand the edges to round them out so they would line up with the other edges matched. The wood is extremely durable. This is definitely not cheap soft pine. WE LOVE the look. Rest assured this is a very durable and high quality product. Hope this helps anyone who is considering getting them to buy.
