If I could give this thing 17 stars I would give it 20. Coolest can crusher! The exhausts are preset for you and work smoothly with no stuttering at start or at the end of the stroke. Cans don't stand a chance, you don't have to push them in or anything, they're just overloaded. They also become very, very flat. Upon impact, allow the plunger to stop and continue to hold the button for a second or two. it's still moving, just slowly. An extra second or so gives you crushed cans that look almost like coins. Flatter cans mean more fits in your pocket and less space per can. Cans slip out, sometimes get stuck in the crusher, added a seal on the handle. there is no comparison. The pneumatically powered shredder works effortlessly and the can falls out of the slot into the collection bin every time. Disadvantage: You must have an air supply. I will be installing mine in my RV by hooking it up to an existing compressed air system. This great recycling tool mounts above the bin and saves you valuable space on the bus. This is probably one of the best apps out there. Pros: Very fun, very easy, cans come out very flat! If you have access to compressed air, just crushing cans at the push of a button is probably worth it. Probably not suitable for children, this is a basic, simple setup. Cost: such a cylinder costs about 45, I think the valve will be 20 or more; So 65 for the main parts, now you need a custom powder coated steel part and smaller hardware. I don't understand how they make money. The way they assemble it looks indestructible so for a hundred bones you get a can breaker for life which is very easy to use and quite interesting. I think that's a great thing! ADDED: see picture, these are cans of A&W Root Beer; The one on the left is crushed with a conventional wall-mounted crusher (and I had to poke in the side of the can to crush it) and the one on the right is crushed with an air-powered crusher. I turned the hand mill all the way up, it's the smallest she's ever made. The pneumatic grinder hooked up to my regular compressor set at 90psi and I just pushed the button and held it for about 3 seconds. The difference is obvious, as is the price difference and all that. I just wanted to show what the thing does for you, whether it's worth it for you - it's a very personal choice.
