They work but are very fragile

These bulbs worked and were bright enough. However, my problem with them is that they are very fragile. When I installed them around my son's room, when I made a corner, the strip of light tore in half like paper. I bought some of these connectors to connect two broken halves together but couldn't get them to work. The other light strip in the package worked fine, but be very careful when installing it!
