The only fan receiver/remote I have found that can be installed in a ceiling fan control box. My fan has a sealed light switch circuit that went off. The fan is very flat and doesn't have room to fit into the fan shroud. If I couldn't find this item, I would have to buy a new fan. The board works great. Will probably buy more for my other fans. The seller was also very helpful with a question about the product.

Finally found a fan remote control kit with a small transmitter. I've included photos to show how I moved the wires to fit. By far the greatest feature of this controller is its small size. It still barely fits in the space above the lower fan duct though. I am attaching photos of my setup from start to finish. Two things are worth mentioning, but they're not bad enough to lose a star: The remote in the fan emits a loud beep when you press the button on the remote to let you know it's received a signal.
