Keep in mind! Antenna has MAINS VOLTAGE and arcing shorts to ground

I have ordered a replacement and will follow but I hope the manufacturer will respond to this review. I'm an electrician and I can say I installed this correctly and the power supply to the unit is correct. After completing the installation and testing, all was going well until I straightened the small yellow antenna wire that now went through the hole in the fan housing. With careful movement of the antenna cable, it buckled to the ground, and the new controller was dead. Confused that there was current going through the antenna cable, I unplugged the unit and removed all additional factors except the controller itself, and it still has close to 100 Volts mains voltage to ground and neutral. I hope it was an accident and will keep an eye on when a replacement arrives. IF NOT, be aware that the antenna cable is HOT! with significant arc/spark voltage to earth and destroy the equipment or worse. FOLLOW UP. In fact, the antenna has a full mains voltage of 120 volts and can shock you or, if grounded, destroy the device. PLEASE note that antenna cables generally DO NOT TRANSMIT MAINS VOLTAGE and you should not suffer a shock if the very thin wire is broken or nicked. I highly recommend adding extra heat shrink tubing to the antenna cable if you plan on leaving the antenna cable exposed. If the antenna cable touches the ground over time, there will be sparks and destroy the device. BUYER ATTENTION!
