I read all the reviews of many devices and ended up choosing this one as it was the cheapest of the options I considered. I have relatively little desk space and I'm upgrading to two 22-inch Viewsonic widescreen monitors. Taking it off the table was practically a "must have" if I wanted any kind of work surface. The box was well packaged and I could tell before I opened it that it was a heavier device. The assembly is very simple and a page of instructions is not really necessary. As long as your monitors are VESA-compliant (mountable). They should be large for easy assembly. 4 screws and your monitor is fixed. The stand is very solid, and as another reviewer mentioned, the base takes up little space to create that solid environment. Since I use a wireless keyboard and mouse and have enough depth on my desk, this isn't a problem for me. However, allow for about 10-12 inches forward from the back of the rack. A collar is attached to the main stand that can be moved up and down to find the correct height above the table. Once you find it, simply tighten a screw to secure it. The arms also pivot horizontally very easily for independent positioning and pivoting of the monitors. I myself do not use my monitors in portrait format. At first I didn't think I could adjust the tilt and tilt of the monitors, but I found that the screws were capped and when loosened the monitors tilted as well. Basically, you have all the degrees of freedom you need to place your monitors the way you want them. The kit also includes a table mounting screw if you prefer to drill a hole in the table to attach the stand. Another nice touch. is that the stand has cable guides attached to each arm which are handy. A pair of Velcro straps is something to add if you're into cable organization. Basically it all boils down to this being a hell of a bargain for the price. at least compared to others I've seen. The most important part of any review, at least to me, is whether the reviewer would buy it again if they had to do it again. And I certainly wouldn't even hesitate. Of course, the stand is a bit longer, but I'd rather deal with that than an unstable dual-monitor stand. Save $100 and buy this stand.
