I was looking for wooden utensil to add character to the kitchen but it would be something I could use every time I cook. I was concerned that they would be difficult to clean but I just hand wash them and dry them immediately with a kitchen towel so they will last as long as possible. I honestly don't know why I haven't bought them before - they are great! Just a shame they came with a ladle which I had to buy separately. Also makes a great inexpensive housewarming gift!
