I have ordered mats for my 5x7 photos that I have boxed for sale. The 4.9 x 6.9 inch hole did not provide enough overlap with the 5 x 7 inch photos to easily mount them. Trying to center the photos so the carpet covered all 4 sides was challenging and required multiple attempts for each photo. A 4.75" x 6.75" hole would have overlapped 1/8" on each side instead of 1/20" on each side as it does. The matte board itself is on the thin side but perfectly acceptable for what I need. The carpet stack arrived with a bend and had to be carefully folded in the opposite direction so that it lay flat. Next time I will look for another brand that will be a bit smaller.
