The stretcher was purchased to widen the toe box of ice skate boots. It differs from the usual application because the boots were made of a PVC type material and were not leather. The only thing I noticed that could stand improvement would be to tighten the fit of the buttons. When inserting the stretcher into the boot, the tight fit of the rigid boots occasionally rotates the buttons that are inserted into a single hole. They can't be inspected for proper orientation until after the procedure has been completed. Otherwise this is a great product, with excellent vendor follow-up!
