These waterproof mattress covers work very well. We ordered 2 Twin XLS for our adjustable beds because our dog pees on the bed sometimes. After several accidents with both beds, both mattresses were left clean because of these covers. No leakage through the top. You have to make sure the entire top area is covered with a waterproof material (the fabric covering the side of the mattress isn't waterproof) but this will work. We've had them for over a year now, we've washed them several times and they don't peel or fall apart at all. Still fit. You'll be a little warmer to sleep on than a cotton mattress topper, but that goes for any waterproof cover. You can always put a cotton pad on it if the heat bothers you. Would highly recommend and would buy again in the future should the need arise. worth your money.
