Review on SATA HDD Plug Socket Adapter for Sony PS2 Playstation 2 - RGEEK by Samuel Nguyen
Not the best internal hard drive idea
This product is a GameStar branded adapter which is known to cause hardware and incompatibility issues in PS2 home stage. Based on the positive feedback here, I ordered one of these to test, but found it to be buggy and not loading properly in any applications that use the Free HD Boot v1.93 image. The replacement they sent me didn't have this problem and I was able to create an FMCB memory card with FHDB 1.93. However, I would not use this adapter for long term use and would definitely recommend the official PS2 network adapter with IDE drive instead. If SATA is your only option, I would pick up a SATA conversion kit for your official adapter.
