Much smaller than previous offerings

Overall, this Mac stick is (is that a word?) better than previous versions from CharJen and others. However, there is still a lot of room for improvement. This device has 2 USB-C ports (one Apple powered port), 2 USB 3 ports and 2 SD card ports (one Micro). I haven't tried using both SD ports at the same time. All in all, a rather modest proposal for an expansion device. Pros: Significantly smaller Has an LED to indicate power. Stable connection when connecting additional elements. Previous devices lost connection and disconnected external drives when a new device was added to the flash drive. While this is technically an improvement, I consider this to be the minimum requirement and the previous models insufficient. Cons: 1. When used on the right side, it covers the audio port.2. CharJen says it should "click" when properly installed, but it doesn't. I have 2 models of this model and 3 others from other manufacturers, none of them click.3. Like all those Mac sticks (no matter who makes them), they're not expandable anyway. If you need to connect all your stuff in the office, there won't be enough connections. I have 3 printers, a scanner and several external hard drives. A total of 7 USB 3.4 ports are required. The stick will not provide enough power to run high powered devices unless you plug that device into a powered port. I have a WD 4TB wireless hard drive that only works with a power connection. So I have two brackets, one on each side, one to power the Mac and one to connect the hard drive.5. The two USB-C ports are very close together, so only USB-C pigtails can be plugged in, it is not possible to place USB-to-USB-C adapters next to each other. Even though the ports are close together, the distance between them isn't the same as the Mac Book, making it impossible to flip the secondary drive and expand it any further.

Pros
  • HDMI: Connects to monitors/TVs. 4K at 30Hz. SD and MICRO SD CARD READERS: Image, video, file transfer.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
