The theory behind the product is great and I've read several blogs that highly recommended it but it didn't work for me. Regardless of the size/weight of the door panel, the pyramid will dent the wood and the stain will adhere to the pyramid and not the door. Because the stain stuck, I was only able to work on one side at a time. As for the dents, I bought more pyramids and placed them under the doors to distribute the weight and it still resulted in tiny dents at every spot. The kitchen doors I worked with are honey oak, so I figured if you went with a lighter product it might work better.
