Despite the fact that I listed a great number of benefits (all of which are warranted), this lens has issues with both ha and focus misses (rarely). But the worst thing is soap; if you find yourself in possession of a 50mm 1.8, 1.4, or any other type of fast fix in general, and you are considering purchasing a staffer "for every day," it is best to pass by. Have a look at tamrons and sigmas with fast apertures; these are the lenses where you may pick the greatest quality for practically the same price. When I acquired a D90 camera that came with an 18-105 lens, I was livid since I already had a modest collection of lenses that were quick and had a high level of sharpness. Naturally, the proprietor issued an instant warning that "for fifty dollars 1.4 miracles from him (Pro 18-105) do not anticipate"; yet, this soap is utterly alarming, as it makes it feel as though one's vision is impaired. When working in the editor, you need to maintain your sharpness at all times. In a nutshell, I can't recommend this lens highly enough to someone just starting out. The only better range is 18-200. Because high-quality Nikon glass can be quite pricey, I recommend something comparable made by a third party manufacturer to folks who already have some experience.
