This is a very effective and powerful glue when used carefully and properly. It expands (foams) when it cures -- great at filling gaps. It is flexible after curing. It doesn't smell. It can be trimmed with a sharp knife after curing. It really sticks well to just about everything (except polyethylene). It cures enough to stop clamping in 2 hours, completely in 24. It is very good for making or repairing a paperback book binding if you are careful. Using masking tape (the sticky side) or wax paper can be useful to block the glue from gluing/sticking to surfaces (both peel away from the glue afterwards). The instructions advise you to push excess air out of the bottle before closing -- this can be a bit difficult. This is to exclude water vapor as reacting with water on what you are gluing or from the air is what makes the glue cure.Epoxy is better if you need a hard rigid strong bond. Cyanoacrylic ("super glue") is better if you need a strong bond in a very tight space (like cracked china). White & yellow "Elmer's" glue is best for paper and normal wood joints. This glue is best if you need to fill gaps, glue difficult materials, need flexibility, need something very durable (waterproof, doesn't dry out/crack), and don't mind having some glue foam out of the joint at times (this is easy to trim back). Basically you need to use the right tool/glue for the job.
