I am a bit confused about this product. I'm using a modern MacBook so I used its USB-C side, but I just noticed that the USB-A side has a "female" configuration. How the hell does that relate to anything? You need a separate USB-A <--> USB-A cable. or does it work as a USB-A -> USB-C dongle? (I'm afraid to check!). That extreme oddity aside, it works well as a USB-C flash drive. Like all manufacturers, they like to claim "USB 3" support as if it means it's super fast (it's not) without backing it up with any real numbers. My tests showed above-average read speeds (especially for this price range) of 150 MB/s and write speeds of 35-65 MB/s. write, the speed quickly cuts twice. It's fast compared to a USB 2 drive. Compared to what a USB 3 drive can do, this is just 'good'. But it's hard to complain for a mid-speed drive at this price and size. As long as it's reliable and you don't need abnormally fast write speeds, it's a good buy. but I still don't understand the purpose of the USB-A port!
