I bought this not to use as a spice stand, I wanted to hang it next to the bathroom sink under the first aid kit as a small shelf to store items from my toilet to remove table. I spray painted them to match my bathroom color scheme and used anchors and screws for assembly and it works very well and looks great. To give you an idea of what it can accommodate, inside is a Barbasol shaving bench cream, as well as my toothbrush, a toothbrush holder, etc. Now I additionally cut out a thin board and painted the same paint to paste into the bottom part of the stand for added stability, its metal grille, but that's just me.
