Review on Top Performing Kymate FT 857D FT 897D Kenwood TS 430S: A Comprehensive Product Review by Jay Jeong

I have ordered two of these based on the reviews and the description. However, the problems are diverse and significant. The cable is only 3 feet long and should be at least twice that length. Fuses and holders are very cheap. The wire size is at least half what it should be, and most importantly, the pins in the connector don't fit properly in Icom or Kenwood radios. They are sloppy and lead to dangerous intermittent connections. Even after you've clamped the female pins to get a better fit, they're still sloppy. I would send both back, but I have already installed cable lugs on one cable. I will try to send another one back. Dan Cox
