Great product but size is too big

Belt looks great just like the pictures. Just one thing - it's too big. I have a 29 inch waist, according to the size chart I ordered size M, which is 28-29 at the waist, but it turns out to be too big, I measured it, it's 32-34 inches exactly. I love this belt but I have to send it back. Is the small size right for me? Can customer service tell me the length of the small size? Please refer to the attached pictures for the start and end point of my measurement.
