Bought this at the end of the 2017 hunting season when I was getting quite cold in the blind. Trying to stay warm for 3-4 hours when you should be "sitting like a statue" while hunting is very different than just putting on layers of clothing to play in the snow, go snowshoeing or whatnot anyway. In this situation, your activity is not warming you. Therefore, in addition to the usual areas that need isolation, you should pay special attention to your main blood vessels. This refers to the thighs, wrists, ankles and neck. In 2017, my usual hat and leggings didn't fit. Deer blindness gives you a lot of time to think, so I started thinking of a better solution. Turns out they do, and that's it! I think of it as a "Hunter's Hood" for lack of a better term. I used it for most of the 2018 hunting season and it was cold. It covers deep, my entire neck and a little on my shoulders. Covers the neck perfectly. I can sit still with this thing for a very long time. THICK and very warm. It blocks the wind. It works in a hood configuration, a face mask configuration, and a gaiter configuration. And it's quiet in the setup. I also use it when I sleep at night when camping in winter. Holds my toast. To be honest I have no complaints about this item other than I would like it in orange. I buy a second one in case they stop making them and I lose mine. I sound like a barker, but I'll tell you I've been hunting every day this year and thanked my stars for two things. This hood and my new jeep.
