Save energy. The front is almost flat with a high arch to the back. Two pieces of double-sided tape won't hold it at best. The front tape is approximately 1 1/4" x 8". Back tape is 1/4 x 6" (really?) with only thin plastic on the sides. Won't sit flat on a flat surface, and certainly not flat on a car hood heat or exposure to moisture. A non-stick adhesive surface will never make enough contact to hold up at 30 mph in the gentlest of washes.
