I have been using the BedStory 3" Memory Foam Mattress Topper for almost two months. Before I started, I had back pain from a recent move. I bought a new bed with a mattress that was too firm and too hard. I had trouble sleeping due to back pain. I took another reviewer's advice and bought a 3 inch pad which seems to be the minimum thickness for an adult. It worked really well for me and gave me enough padding to firm on one that I have. So far I haven't had a problem with permanent dents, but I don't weigh that much so I'm not sure how well it will handle the extra weight. As for the odor usually associated with foam mattresses, I didn't notice a strong odor. I remember when I first opened it there was a slight odor but I followed the directions and left it for a couple of days before putting it on the bed. no problem since apache did not notice it. Also, it is heavily compressed and takes a few days to return to its original state. Overall, I'm happy with the 3-inch BedStory memory foam mattress topper and would recommend it for extra comfort.
