The scent of the perfume was overwhelming I have to send it back. I have a severe allergy to artificial fragrances. I'm used to carefully buying unscented products for skin/hair care, laundry, clothing, even damn toilet paper and trash bags are scented lately. But really? The lights?!? I never expected that the day would come when I would have to review/ask the taste of a product like this. I can't understand WHY anyone would want their lamps to be scented or that making them is a good idea. But hey, I don't do marketing. I only plugged them in for a second, they are very bright at the highest of the standard cool white settings. It has many brightness settings on the remote control, even a timer function. I think they would be great and would work well for closet lighting, I just can't use them because of the very strong perfume smell - like lemon and faux patchouli. Minus 3 stars for the sneeze and headache factor. ETA: Oh, I get that it stinks. This is a silica gel pouch sealed with a strip of light. Normally it is ONLY silicon dioxide - dry transparent crystals. no smell Why add fragrance? And so much?
