Bought this car charger for my 2017 MacBook Air a1466. Was camping for a few days and tried to charge it several times. Once I drove two hours straight. Didn't increase the fee by one percent. Maybe I just got a bug. In any case, you must return. Pain on update September 1st 2019 I spoke to a company representative and he suggested that I had just received a defective product so I took a chance and bought it again after returning the first one. I've had my current charger for 4 weeks now; I used it regularly to charge my Macbook Air as my only charging source on a 20 day hike and it worked great, maybe even better than I expected. I've read all the reviews (I'm a research nerd) that it doesn't work on some car systems or fails after a while. It works great in my old Toyota and time will tell how long it lasts. I only use it to charge my Mac Air, iPad and a few other things. that is, I don't charge and play at the same time, I just charge. I'm increasing my rating from one star to four because everything is working great now. If it lasts, I'll give an extra star. Update January 2021 Still working
