I'm not returning this item because I don't really need it but because it bothers me and my 16 months. (1) The balls provided do not always go all the way and get caught on the protrusions next to each hole. (2) Hape replacement balls that should be compatible are not compatible. I used to have a musical pound bank so I bought extra balls to be interchangeable but they get stuck in different places even more. Then he tries to push and knock her over. (3) Again, due to the interchangeability of the balls, these roller derby balls will not work on the music bench. Try explaining to a one-year-old that it's cute and well-made and can be fun, but having separate parts for toys from the same company is a hassle. Hape, make it better! [Photos show the problems described! In the roller derby photo, 3 balls are stuck in front of the first hole, single color reserve/spare balls are also stuck along the way. In the bench photo the roller derby balls don't go through because the solid balls are smaller.] We are big fans of this company but it wasn't worth the price.
