The protractor reading works as expected with the same good results as other Wixey products. I use a protractor to set angles on the table saw's miter fence and on some parts of the table where the ends need to be cut at a 4Β° angle. My only disappointment is that the angle is adjusted by turning a small dial at the rounded base of the two levers. The wheel doesn't lock the levers tight enough and the lock adjustment isn't smooth with some play when reading, probably when locking the levers. I would prefer a better fixation approach that firmly sets the angle after the display is set. My workaround is that I use a protractor to fine tune the default inclinometer and use it to set the angle. I appreciated the extra battery in the battery pack. Perhaps an additional battery storage space could be placed in the next version. The weight is impressive, almost too heavy for your pocket. My second application is measuring house corners, which I evaluate for a building sketch. In the field I would be happy about an additional holster.
