I bought this set for my granddaughter who is having a small tea party in the garden for her 21st birthday. I was looking for a functional and appropriately cute set. Hundreds of dollars for anything worth giving. This set is perfect. It looks fragile but is solid enough that you don't feel nervous handling it. The pattern is beautiful with its cream background, slightly ruffled edges, interspersed with rosebuds and gold and soft green details. Received it in 2 days with Revain Prime and it was beautifully packaged. Each piece is individually wrapped and packaged in appropriately sized boxes in a beautiful white outer box rather than those ugly brown boxes which are perfect for gift wrapping. I was worried I would have to find a prettier box, but it was totally unnecessary. I checked every part and every one was perfect. No, it's not flimsy porcelain that you hold up to the light and can see your finger's shadow through, but who needs the stress of not tapping on the edge and snapping it off. This set has a bit of power hidden under its sleek exterior. If you're looking for a fully functional yet feminine tea set that won't empty your wallet, this Gracie tea set is for you. I haven't given it to my granddaughter yet and I hope she loves it. I will post her opinion on the kit after she gets and uses it. As for me, I love it.
