This purchase is actually for the second item that now lives in my car. A combination of things led to the need for this product. I have a slight curvature of the spine, which has never really caused any problems. BUT . between a less than ergonomic home office setup (COVID issues) and sleeping in a hospital chair for the 18 days my adult daughter was there. My back finally protested. BIG. AWAY. I found myself using a heating pad every day, all day, to keep the pain under control (but not going away). I eventually went to my doctor who put me on steroids (didn't help) and muscle relaxants (made me sluggish). The doc also did some x-rays that show my aging arthritis is back so that doesn't help my situation. The visualization also showed that all of my grief is mid/lower chest. what corresponded to my pain. My husband had one of these pillows that he took off his Hiro many years ago (but he never used it, dumbass!). He gave it to me to use in my home office and I immediately noticed the difference. I've also made a few other minor ergonomic adjustments in my home office (raising the keyboard/mouse to optimal levels) and over time I can say these things have helped a bit. But every time I got in the car, my back protested. no matter how I adjust the seat and lumbar support (which doesn't help as my mid-back support is needed). like that . I ordered a second pillow for my car. and my back is friends with my car again. I LOVE the flexibility of this solution as it can be inflated/deflated and positioned to suit my current sore back situation. Costs money!
