Great compact camera, and not just for beginners! I have been using it for 4 years now and I see no reason to change it to something else. Pros below: Compactness, convenience, AA battery power, ease of use, reliability, speed - and, of course, very good pictures even with a minimum of photography skills. (And the video is quite acceptable.) The price-quality ratio is excellent. Has cons: 1. The main drawback for me is the lack of a battery charge indicator. A spare pair of "fingers" is always with me during filming, but it's still unpleasant to suddenly see a signal about a discharge. 2. The lower the battery power, the longer it takes for the flash to charge after a picture is taken. A couple of times because of this, I did not have time to take great shots. 3. Compared with A460: - less convenient mode control; - Seems more flimsy. 4. Pictures in the dark are not very good, no matter what mode you choose.
