I liked that the toilet seat closed silently for the first 2.5 years. However, when I spent $50 on a toilet seat, I figured it would last longer. I don't like the idea of investing $20 a year in a toilet seat. Claimed product life is 30,000 to 50,000 uses. If we count at 4 uses per day, we only had 3650 uses and it no longer works. A little disappointing.
