Passes my 55-60 degree test

I bought this blanket to replace an old (different brand) that sheds feathers like no other. I was concerned about this snowman duvet because 40% of its filling is an alternative to goose down. But so far I'm pleasantly surprised. When I pulled this duvet from its cover (which I love and will continue to use again) it wasn't very fluffy. But what can you expect from a blanket that has been in a cover for a long time? I just shook it over my bed for a few minutes to make it a little fluffier and it's fine. The box seam is done very well: the filler does not move and does not leave large voids in the ceiling. Everything stays in place. One night when it finally got cold outside, I dropped the temperature in my bedroom to around 55-60 degrees Fahrenheit (I usually keep this room closer to 72 degrees) so I could test the warmth of this comforter. It kept me warm without overheating: I didn't wake up shivering or sweaty. And that with a duvet in a protective cotton duvet cover laid over a modal beech sheet. (Yes, I'm the kind of weirdo who uses a flat sheet + duvet cover.) Also, I wasn't hurt by the mutineers' feathers. In fact, the day I unpacked the duvet, not a single feather fell out when I shook it - which I can't say about my old duvet. A few springs will surely come loose over time. Eventually this happens to all duvets. But with that it can be minimal. And this blanket has 8 loops for tying: one in each corner + one in the middle of each side. My duvet cover only has 4 corner ties. But after tying (knotting) the duvet into the cover, I had no problem sliding the duvet into the cover. It stays in place no matter how much I move in bed. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.
