I bought this mic stand for myself after giving away my old "NEEWER" (same link I bought it from) to a friend. I had no problems with the stand I bought. I didn't know they changed a few things. The metal has weakened. After a few days, the base of the stand with the mic started to flex sideways, and after a few weeks of use, the rod that the mic is attached to slowly started to slide and keep slipping (the adjustment rod you twist doesn't work) . ). I have to bend the metal all the time to straighten it out, it's only a matter of time before the metal breaks. They also changed the microphone/sponge mount. The padding on the one I had before was green, but the one I have now is black and thinner. I'm really disappointed with this purchase. I hope they update again to fix these bugs. I don't have the money to buy a $100 "RODE" stand, so for now I'll just have to stick with this one until it breaks.
