Review on Engine Compression Cylinder Pressure 0 300PSI by Patrick Hamilton

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Wrong sensor (although replaced by the company) - will make you consider a rebuild.

EDIT: Although I was long overdue for the return date because I wasn't at the point where I wanted to check the compression as other reviewers said the customer support was fantastic and They sent me that I need a replacement sensor. So you can make a purchase knowing that if you have any problems, this seller will take care of you. Thanks very much! Original rating: The pressure is wrong. Did the test twice on different days (because I was initially very disappointed with my results). Yes my engine was warm, yes the throttle was wide open, and yes the choke was open (not throttled). My results were CONSISTENT, but not accurate. The meter read 90, 65, 85, 90. I then tested the oil on a spoonful of spark plug holes and got 95, 90, 90, 95. Yes I do not know. 2 is a bit off and that will be a problem at this level. I took my bike to my mechanic to have the tire welded as I don't have a welder, gave him my numbers and asked him to check me out. Went in today and he said my compression is ok: 150, 125, 150, 150 and what not. 2 is a bit worrying, it's within the range that I'm comfortable with at least for now. Of course, my return time has expired, so I'm stuck with an inaccurate compression tester.
