💪 Lisle 39000 Pulley Puller: The Ultimate Tool for Convenient Pulley Removal Review

I don't know how good it looks from the pictures but the thread and nut are so damaged they won't turn. And after just one use. I can't recommend people to buy it. Seems to be a good design. I liked how they had a lever holding the extractor together and providing leverage. This made it much easier to use than the other model which required 2 wrenches to use and kept falling apart. So this will be a good idea. if it worked. But that's not the case.

The Lisle pulley puller worked as advertised removing the power steering pump pulley. The pulley is easy to install and remove. Reinstalling the pulley with a tool didn't work for me. The Ford pump on my 2000 Ford F250 is Original Equipment and the threads on the power steering pump shaft were rusted and the tool was unable to reinstall the pulley. ***BUY THIS!*** I have never pulled a power steering pulley but have after a few youtube videos and THIS KIT . removed the pulley from a 1995 Chevy Tahoe 5.7 with minimal effort (to remove the driver's side exhaust manifold to scream out loud!). This was an excellent tool. I have used this on several Chrysler (Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler) and Mitsubishi vehicles and have had no complaints. The metal thread holds up well compared to other tools I've used, everything else is tight on the pulley lip. If you've never used this before, watch some videos. Instructions could be a bit clearer. Before buying I read other reviews about cleaning black crafting oxide threads before use. Used a spoked wheel on a bench grinder to clean out all the external threads then threaded the machine bolts through the internal threads which were heavily lubricated with light oil. I bought this to remove the horsepower pulley on my 1995 F-250 with a 7.3 liter engine. It was extremely difficult to unscrew the pulley until I realized that the puller/puller screw didn't go straight through the puller body. Upon inspection I found that the puller body was bevel cut and therefore could not be used as it was off center applying pressure to the PS pump shaft. Luckily the tool kit I received was manufactured correctly so the threads are properly aligned. The first thing to do with any puller is grease the threads. Then wrap the pieces on top of each other to squeeze out any metal shavings left over from manufacturing. This seems like common sense, but I didn't apply enough lube to begin with, so some of the threads wore out prematurely. However, the tool still worked well. I had to use an 18" socket wrench to apply enough torque to remove the pulley.
