I paid more ($26) for this unit thinking it was better inside and it was exactly the same inside as the $14 unit that came out came to the construction. Buying NuTone will save your money as you can get the cheapest product as the internals are likely to be identical. The doorbell switch is what failed in my setup. The doorbell is also NuTone and I took it apart and it's the cheapest junk I've ever seen. If the switch fails, either the transformer or the chime will burn out (both in my case). It can even start a fire. My wife said she smelled something burning and it was a call from a faulty door switch. This NuTone material is not recommended. The doorbell switch uses an incandescent bulb - should be LED for long life. NuTone is still stuck in the 60's with its design.
