The pieces of wood were wrapped in a protective film and undamaged. Bamboo wood is lacquered in a deep, beautiful colour. It didn't take long to assemble and the instructions are clear. The table comes with all the necessary tools to assemble the table. The only part that was difficult to assemble was the drawer handle. The box is narrow and the hole is narrow. It was difficult tipping the box to access the screw holding the bar. We ended up using the hex key we had for this step rather than the one provided as it was narrower and would fit better in the box. The table wobbles a bit, but since it's not designed to support a lot of weight, that's not a problem. It looks beautiful at the end of my sofa. I love the rich color and the beautiful bamboo wood.
